Separation Process Laboratory
Seoul National University
Research
Separation Process Laboratory (SPL) at Seoul National University directed by Professor Tae Jun Yoon aims to design and operate separation processes based on the fundamental principles of thermodynamics and kinetics.
We mainly develop theoretical frameworks and platforms to understand the underlying mechanism in natural and artificial chemical systems, measure thermophysical properties for modeling industrial processes, and design and operate separation techniques based on these theoretical (numerical) and experimental results. By carrying out these researches, we also aim to educate undergraduate and graduate students to gain sufficient expertise in separation processes and thus be ready-to-work.
